**Market Night this Wednesday**

One of the sad parts about leaving Rockhampton is that I'm not going to be able to have a market stall at the Heritage Village Mother's Day markets in May. That was my VERY FIRST market... I debated for weeks and weeks whether I should go and whether my art was good enough to sell. I really wanted to be there as a way of celebrating just how far I've come in the last year.

But since I am not going to be attending anymore markets here in Central Queensland, I have decided to hold my very own "Market Night" over on my Facebook page. Everything I have available will be up for sale at 7.30pm (Qld time) this Wednesday night. There will be originals, prints, washi tape and maybe even a couple of art journal kits up for grabs..... but you'll have to be quick, as it's "first come, first served" so the first person to comment "SOLD" will be the lucky new owner.

All the original paintings pictured in this post will be up for sale as well as a few others.... so make sure you stop by my Facebook page to check out the rest. :)

By the way, I have decided that I am the worst "Photo A Day" person EVER!

Take a deep breath and jump....

There comes a time in your life where you find yourself at a crossroad - you can choose the "safe" path, which doesn't make you happy, or the "unknown" path, which you have no idea where it will take you. My family and I are about to go down that unknown path and who knows where it will lead us.....

You may have seen on my Facebook page that my family and I are leaving Rockhampton and moving back to Toowoomba. My husband has quit his job of the last 11 years and we are making a fresh start..... totally scary considering we have 2 kids to look after, but I have complete confidence that between the two of us we will be able to earn a decent income. We have had so many things line up which led to us making this decision - things that make it easier for us to make such a bold move. I have always believed that the "universe" whispers to you and guides you to where you need to be - so we are listening and I just know in my heart that good things will come from it.

Apart from the "no jobs" thing, I am SO glad - it feels like we are "going home" and I am excited about the possibilities. I want to grow on my business, and Noel would love to start his own. Jenna and Amani will be close to their only cousin and will get to play with him all the time.

And although I am glad to be going back to Toowoomba, there is a part of me that is sad to be leaving. A lot has happened in the six years that we have lived here and although we don't really like the town, we have made a lot of good friends here and have lots of memories.

We have:

* gone through at least 4 floods (one where we were cut off for 2 weeks)
* had to evacuate our house due to bushfire
* had 2 beautiful, gorgeous babies
* suffered a great loss
* opened (and then sold) a business with a friend
* had our "dream house" built
* found out that I have a creative side
* started my own artsy business

*been through more ups and downs that I can count!

So stay tuned to see what the next few months bring... I can't wait to see what is going to happen!

And last, but not least, here are some pictures of my latest commissioned pieces.

I'll be back later to catch up on my "photo a day".... I've fallen a bit behind. :)

March Photo a day

Just catching up on my March photo a day photos...

{FRUIT}

My fruit bowl... perfectly normal to have pawpaw ointment in there isn't it? It IS a fruit... LOL.

{YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD}

When we first moved here we had one house beside us (with no-one living in it), now there is only one corner without a house where we can still get our country views. Although you can see in the pic where they are starting to make way for a new road already. Gracemere is growing SO fast!

{BEDSIDE}

I wish I had one of those pretty bedside tables which looks like it came out of a magazine... but I don't. The tissues are a bit chaotic as Amani likes to pull them all out for fun and I just try to shove them back in there. I love AJ Rochester's book too! Great for reading little bits at a time.

March 123 Challenge

Time for another 123 Challenge... this month the criteria are:

COLOUR:

Metallic Blue

WORD:

123

TECHNIQUE/EMBELLISHMENT:

use something ORGANIC

And here is my sample....

The first thing that came to mind when I thought of "electric blue" was nail polish. I've painted some chipboard arrows with nail polish - they look fantastic! For "organic", I used some twine as a border around the page.

Don't forget to upload your creation here to be in the chance to win some fantastic prizes!

{Up}

I said in an earlier post that I would be joining in with Fat Mum Slim's March Photo a day challenge, here is my pic for today.

Whenever I get {UP} on the ladder I have the kids climbing up after me.... Amani especially. She's very good at standing there with arms stretched up saying "Up, up". She's growing up so much and has quite a few words in her repertoire now. :)
