Introducing.......

Noel/Angela Jnr!! That's right, I'm 12 weeks pregnant! Yay!

Went for an ultrasound yesterday to check that everything is ok since I have my first ante-natal appointment on Monday. Ok, so the picture is a bit blurry but it's as good as I could get it... you can see bub on the left hand side - head down, feet up with it's legs crossed. Looks pretty relaxed in there heh? It was moving around quite a bit though and making it hard for them to measure a proper heart rate but all is good!

It's been so hard keeping it a secret - but we wanted to wait until I was a fair way along before we told anyone... although Ali and Jo knew straight away (they were so good at keeping a secret) and all the girls I played netball with guessed. As soon as someone just stops playing netball that's the first thing that you think - seems there is a few of us popping out kids this year too! I also found out that Nicole is pregnant as well and is due about 9 days after me so that is really cool. It's nice to have someone pregnant at the same time as me... especially being so close together, and with it being my first bub. Although I guess that is one advantage to leaving it until you are 30 to start having kids - almost all my friends have already had one so they can all give me some pointers!

I guess the pregnancy hasn't been too bad so far - sometimes when I'm feeling really crappy I remember some of the horror stories you hear from other people and I think I'm pretty lucky. Although I must admit that I didn't realise that burping and insomnia were pregnancy symptoms! You always hear about the tiredness and morning sickness, but not those! And oh my God, the heartburn!! Have had quite a lot of it recently and then finally when I go and get some Mylanta I feel fine.... stupid Murphy's Law.

So at the moment it looks like I'm due sometime around the 24 - 26th September. That makes Noel's Dad very happy as his birthday is on the 25th September! By then we should be settled into our new house and back into some kind of normality... as normal as it can get with a new baby! Anyway, I can't wait!!

Well, I must go now - Ali and I have a day off from the shoppe today so we are going to go out for lunch and do a bit of shopping! It's going to be so much fun!

Bye!

Quick layout catch up...

Just thought I'd put up the layouts I've done lately...
This first one is for one of the Dare challenges that we are currently running at Embellished. The challenge was to use your own handwriting.
Handwriting Dare

This next is for the Elsie challenge to make your own clear flowers... I punched out some flowers from shrink plastic and shrunk them down, I love the way they turned out!

Next up is another page for my Junk Journal - the challenge was to go green....>
And this was done for a sketch challenge - we got the Making Memories scallop paper in at the shoppe and I just had to use it straight away! It's just gorgeous!!

Well, that's about it for now. Don't forget that currently we are looking for 2 new Embellished Designers. This is open to anyone worldwide so jump in and give it a go! You can check out all the details here. Entries close on the 25th March.
