Sorry guys.... I've been a bit distracted over the last few days and forgot to announce the winner of the giveaway. So I got Noel to pick a number and he picked.....5! So Congratulations Jody!!! Pop into the store and we will give you your choice of the two kits!
In other news, Rockhampton is about to have a major flood in the next week - they expect the water to peak on Tuesday. We'll be fine at home as we live on a hill but we're a bit concerned about the shop and Ali's house - although we should be fine as long as it isn't any worse than what they are predicting! Parts of Rocky are being evacuated and quite a few things are in short supply at the supermarket as everyone stocks up. So, fingers crossed everyone that we'll all be ok!
In brighter news, today is the first Friday in ages that I get to work at the shop, usually I've had to work at my other job. It's a tradition for a few of us to get together and have a bit of a scrap on Fridays so now I won't miss out! Yay! So hopefully soon I'll have some more arty stuff to share with you in the next few days as I have done absolutely nothing all week!
Alrighty, I must dash... will share some pictures of the flood as the water rises!

More rain.... and a giveaway!
It's still raining here in Rocky... so much for our sunny Summer weather.... I think there has only been one day so far this year that it hasn't rained at all! But it's good that it's raining - everything is looking really green, dams that have been close to empty for ages are starting to fill up again.... except for Toowoomba! I was talking to Mum the other day and they've had virtually no rain in their catchment area so the dam is still only about 11% full... others are getting to around 20%, Somerset is at 50% and the Gold Coast is overflowing.... did they build it in the wrong spot or what!
Ok, so now to the giveaway!! Just leave a comment for this post and I will draw a random name to win an Embellished kit valued at over $60! The winner can choose between the November and December kits... so here's some eye candy...
We've got lots of new challenges going on at Embellished, some weekly, some monthy, but they are all heaps of fun. This week, Sares dared everyone to use a cd and/or cover. Here is what I came up with...
Don't forget to leave a comment... I'll draw the winner next Monday. Bye!

Can't wait!
Oh my God!! I can't wait for this:
I ABSOLUTELY loved the American version so I can't wait to see how the Aussies do it! I almost jumped off the couch when they showed a sneak peak the other night - scared Noel and mad him jump too! Now I just need to wait till February....

Now I just need to wait till February....Have been having lots of fun playing with paints in my Emily Falconbridge class... there are some things which are just so simple but I haven't thought of it before... I always wondered how she got a "washy" look to her painted backgrounds, and now I know..... babywipes!! I have always been told how they are the best things ever but I've never actually owned any.... I do now!! I don't know how I ever did without them....
Here's the 2 layouts that I've actually finished... there 6x6's so they were quick to do and a lot of fun... it's much easier to fill the space when it's so small! You'll have to excuse the colours - they're a bit different in real life but I couldn't get it to look any better no matter what I did.
This first one is using some masking - Nicole was using some gutter guard on a layout at a crop a while ago which made me want to use it cause it looked so cool... but instead of sticking it on the layout, I've used it as a mask instead.....

I love this next one - it feels so airy....

That's about it for today blog people.... keep an eye out over the next couple of days as I'm going to have a bit of a giveaway!
Ciao for now!

Big Post - Lots of Photos!
Well, as promised here are my camping photos!
The campsites were bigger than we expected so Ali and Jo decided to share the same spot. You can see the toilet block in the background - it's my kind of camping when there are flushing toilets! They were actually pretty clean as well... the rangers came and cleaned them at least twice while we were there.

I finished a mini album on that I've been working on for a while.... it's about my resolutions for the new year....

Oh, and my exciting news.... Ali and I are heading off to America next year!! YAY! We are going over for CHA in January and also to go on a scrapping cruise around the Caribbean... gee we have a tough job.... LOL. Donna Downey and Heidi Swapp are teaching on the cruise so that is going to be awesome... can't wait!
You can see the others' cars in the rearview mirror - we all followed each other up.

This is our tent - we were staying on another site across the road closer to the creek... it was so nice to lay in bed and hear the creek flowing in the background.

And yes, we even did a bit of scrapping while we were there! This photo was taken just as we were packing up - it was a lot messier!

The water was absolutely beautiful - even if it was a bit cold! It has been raining a lot for the couple of days before we got there so the water was overflowing over the road... luckily we didn't have to drive across it!

Noel floating around on the inflatable volleyball net....

And finally, Luke the unsinkable kid! He had so many floaties on it wasn't funny - a floatie vest, floatie arm rings AND a inflatable ring.... no way was he sinking!!

Well, I think that's enough of a post for today... See you all later!

I survived!
Well, it's now a whole new year and I am back from camping! Despite the beliefs of the people who know me (including myself) I survived the whole trip intact and I thoroughly enjoyed it... so much so that we are planning on doing it again! I won't talk too much about our trip now as I can't find the lead to put my photos on the computer so I'll tell more about it when I can add photos.
I must say that the best bit was having a greater appreciation for what I have at home... sometimes you can get caught up in having material possessions.... I tell you I have never appreciated a hot shower or carpet so much in my life!!
Anyhow, the year has already gotten off to an exciting start.... January 1st saw the launch of the all new look of Embellished. We now have an all new forum as well as new monthly competitions... if you haven't been and checked out the site for a while, now is the time!! The changeover has also meant that all members have had to re-register to gain access to the forum so even if you were a member before you will need to sign up again.
Today was the first day of an online class that I am doing by the extremely talented Emily Falconbridge - it goes for 4 weeks and is full of painty goodness! And just so this post isn't completely devoid of pictures here is a pic from Emily's class....

I must admit I am not one for keeping up with weekly challenges but this is one I really want to do.... I've decided that I'm not exactly sure what makes me me, so this has come at the perfect time.
Well, it's time for me to go to sleep.... I have even more exciting news to share but it's just going to have to wait, but let me just say that it's so super duper exciting that I just can't wait!
See you all later!!
